There are solutions to your problems!
As the summer winds down, the inevitable passage of time takes place. There is an aroma of excitement in the air; an anticipation of what lies ahead. Wardrobes begin to merge from shorts and t-shirts into jeans and long sleeves; iced coffee begins losing its appeal in comparison to a mug of warm java; school for the kids is back in session and schedules become much busier. How about your schedule at your office? With this change of the seasons comes the most opportune time for change in your own life. The only thing that is holding you back is yourself!
There are many DC’s who know they can do better, but something is holding them back. They may not be struggling in the typical sense; in fact many are kicking butt or at least doing better than most of their classmates and colleagues. They refuse to settle for simply just being good; they want to fully express their true potential. Something important that my mentor Dr. Joe Flesia said to me was that no matter how many letters you have next to your name, technique, insurance coverage, how hard you work, or how good of a DC you are, it boils down to having the tools of change. Everyone gets stuck in life…at 100 pv a week or at 1,000 visits a week. You need the tools to change from what you don’t want to what you do want.
Here are a couple of doctors who discovered the tools of change…feel their excitement having solutions to their problems
You will probably find yourself somewhere in these: Dr. Lisa and Dr. Randy. Everyone could use a little help with implementing solutions to their problems. So why don’t more people ask for help? Sometimes it is in our human nature to fear admitting we need it. That is probably why so many people find themselves out of shape or maybe even falling down a rabbit hole of problems with seemingly no end in sight. It’s not a lack of knowledge or know-how. There’s just something real uncomfortable about asking for help. And yet, if you can’t get over this obstacle, you remain stuck. And stuck is never a good place to be! The best thing about asking for help is the magic moment in any relationship when another human being ‘understands’ or ‘gets’ what you are going through and wants to lend a hand. It proves you are not alone. There are no limits to what can be accomplished when a person you trust understands your circumstances and genuinely wants to help you.
To hear the truth about Chiropractic even once, you will never be satisfied with anything less. It lingers in you, gnawing at you and weighing you down. You can’t quite put your finger on it. That’s what causes the apathy, the indifference, the lack of motivation, the uncertainty and the fear. It all comes down to how do you want to practice? Are you going to practice the way you want to practice, on your own terms, or are you going to practice the way society demands you practice? One is VSC based, acute care, wellness care, children, and educating people about Chiropractic and the other is adult pain relief only, caving into patient demands, negotiations, resistance, etc. Don’t settle for the latter! Rise above your fears for change or asking for help and become the Chiropractor and the person you’ve always wanted to be!
